Legislative Branch

SGA Senators

Who represents the legislative branch?

The SGA legislative branch consists of a devoted group of students elected by their peers.  These students represent the student body and form the senate.  Each college and every resident has at least one seat to represent them, as well as at large positions.  The composition of the senate allows all facets of the student body to be represented.

SGA Committees

Academic Affairs Committee

The Academic Affairs Committee is responsible for academic and curricular policies; the committee also serves as a liaison between faculty and the student body to ensure improvements to academic programs and buildings.  

Campus Activities Committee

The Campus Activities committee is responsible for student activities and events; the committee works to build student morale and create events to help aid students in exciting college experience.

Governing Laws Committee

The Governing Laws committee is responsible for all the rules governing the SGA Constitution and Code of Laws, as well as the constitutions of organizations. The committee oversees the members of the student body to ensure they are adhering to the rules.

Public Relations Committee

he Public Relations Committee is responsible for coordinating publicity for all SGA sponsored events. The committee also orders and distributes items to aid in promotions of the SGA as necessary.

Student Services Committee

The Student Services Committee is responsible for improving student experience by expressing ideas and feelings from the student body to administrative staff. 

Safety and Infrastructure Committee

The Safety and Infrastructure Committee is responsible for serving the student body by collaborating the ÌìÃÀ´«Ã½ Police Department and the Office of Student Services to address concerns of campus security, maintenance, and student well being

Spirit and Traditions Committee

The Sprit and Traditions Committee is responsible for promoting Trojan Pride, upholding campus traditions, and promoting school spirit. The committee plans events that promote Trojan Pride including, but not limited to, pep rallies, Trojan Spirit Week, and events that promote TROY University traditions.
