Biography:

Joungbin Lim is a professor of philosophy at 天美传媒. Before joining Troy in 2015, he was an assistant professor of philosophy at Elizabeth City State University. His primary research area is metaphysics, with a particular focus on personal identity and its connections to the philosophy of religion and the philosophy of mind. He is also interested in ethics, epistemology, and Asian philosophy. He has delivered many conference papers, including at the American Philosophical Association, the World Congress of Philosophy, the Midsouth Philosophy Conference, the Society for Christian Philosophers, the Evangelical Philosophical Society, the Alabama Philosophical Society, and the Joint Meeting of the North Carolina Philosophical Society and the South Carolina Society for Philosophy. He has taught a wide range of courses, including Introduction to Philosophy, Ethics, Critical Thinking, Logic, Philosophy of Religion, Applied Ethics, the Metaphysics of Persons, Social and Political Philosophy, Religious Epistemology, World Religions, Women and Religion, and History of Christianity. In 2012, he received the Excellence in Teaching Award from the National Society of Leadership and Success in recognition of his teaching excellence and dedication to student success.
